The Mudbug Madness Festival began in 1984 as a two-day street festival in downtown Shreveport, and is now one of Louisiana's largest and most popular Cajun festivals, featuring renown Cajun, Zydeco, Blues and Jazz artists, mouth-watering Cajun cuisine, raucous contests, and fun for all ages.
It takes place in Festival Plaza on the Shreveport Riverfront each Memorial Day Weekend. This year, the festival will be open from 11am to 10pm daily.
Admission to the festival is free until 5pm on Friday May 23 and Children under 12 are FREE! Admission after that is $10/person or a 3 day pass for $15. Free admission available for those with a Military ID ALL WEEKEND LONG!

Join the 🏆Men's Crawfish Eating Contest fun on the Madness Stage Saturday afternoon at 1pm.
The Women's Crawfish Eating Contest will take place Sunday at 1:30pm on the Madness Stage.
There will be a Crawfish Calling contest at 4:45pm Saturday.
Sign up for everything but the Celebrity Event will be in person only an hour prior to each event.
